The focus of this year’s Chelmsford Ideas Festival is ‘Create’ – explored through a multitude of activities for all ages, held between 20 October – 2 November. The Ideas Festival celebrates the creativity of the people of Chelmsford, past and present and also looks to encourage active participation within the City! Some of this year’s many highlights include a two day Wellbeing event at the Marconi Social Centre, a talk by Professor Marconi – the grandson of Chelmsford’s genius innovator and the Ideas Festival Mystery Hunt.
This year the Academy of Urbanism is partnering up with Changing Chelmsford to put on a series of three events, all taking place on 30 October, which look to celebrate ‘Happynomics’ and the role of creativity and urban design in making places vibrant.
