Stories & the City is a Young Urbanists Small Grant Scheme project exploring how new perspectives can be brought to urban environments through creative writing.

In collaboration with five writers, designers Tracey Taylor and Szu An Yu created an urban installation outside Moorgate Station in September 2015. This was supported by online social media in the form of a blog and Twitter feed. The installation offered commuters a series of new evocative, thought-provoking and surprising perspectives on Moorgate’s urban environment.

​The output of the Stories & the City project is an incredible digital book that includes the creative writing pieces, reflections on the project​ and a series of striking images of the installation at Moorgate.
