An experienced forecaster and trends industry specialist, Ruth joined the Business Development team at The Future Laboratory to enhance the application of our research to specific client needs. Her hybrid role combines deep knowledge of cultural and consumer research with a commercial responsibility for getting the most out of trends research for businesses, brands, and retailers.
Ruth trained at Central Saint Martin’s and started her career as a design and fashion journalist before moving into the burgeoning trends industry in 2003. Since then she has worked in across publishing, media and trend agencies. As a consultant, Ruth specialises in advising clients on how to utilise consumer insight and cultural research to amplify product, brand & communications development for long term growth.
