Cliftonville – Diagnostic Visit

The Academy was commissioned by Thanet District Council to visit and perform a diagnostic report on the Cliftonville neighbourhood of Margate, England.

Despite experiencing a number of issues since the decline of the Great British seaside holiday, the neighbourhood has over a number of years been working to improve its economic, physical and social environment. In advance of its designation as a heritage neighbourhood, the Academy was invited to help review and align local aspirations.

Over 48 hours, the team of Academicians met local community representatives, business owners, local and county council staff and members. The report below outlines the thoughts of the diagnostic team and their way forward for Cliftonville.
