In June 2019, a group from BuroHappold’s C:Lab programme attended the Academy’s annual Congress: A Place to Call Home in Eindhoven. The focus of the Congress was urbanism and affordable housing. The Congress brought together urbanists from a range of backgrounds to explore the housing crisis facing many towns and cities across the world who worked together, shared their knowledge and experiences.

As part of the Congress the C:Lab team ran a workshop exploring the tensions between affordability and liveability within neighbourhoods. The summary of the fruitful workshop, its outcomes and possible next steps can be found here.
