1 October 2013 saw the official launch of The Academy of Urbanism’s Young Urbanists, an event hosted by Design Council Cabe.

The Young Urbanist membership invites students and early career professionals to join and become part of the Academy’s expanding network, enabling members with the opportunity to network with their peers and meet Academicians. Academy events include opportunities for Young Urbanists to present their ideas, collaborate on projects and share learning with Academicians.

The launch itself comprised of introduction from Academician David Waterhouse of Design Council Cabe, followed by a series of fast-paced talks – dubbed the 6×6 (6 speakers at 6 minutes each).
